About WBC

Women Builders Council (WBC) is the leading voice for women in the construction industry in New York State on several important fronts: legislative advocacy, new business development and professional development with a special focus on leadership. WBC provides a dynamic forum that advances industry knowledge, addresses the barriers that prevent women from growing and facilitates solutions for policy makers and industry leaders. WBC was founded by several women business owners who recognized the challenges of doing business in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Established in 2004, today it has grown to be one of the leading voices for women business owners and women professionals in construction. Its Board includes many of the leading women in construction.

Lina Telese, a Partner with Zetlin & De Chiara, is currently the Co-General Counsel of the Women Builders Council (WBC). She is an experienced construction attorney with a targeted focus on construction transactions for sophisticated and complex building projects nationally and internationally. Lina regularly counsels clients on general business matters, risk management, professional licensing, copyright, corporate organization and ownership transition, and insurance issues. She negotiates and settles cases involving professional licensing and copyright issues, transactional issues and construction and professional liability claims. Lina is the Past President of the Association of Real Estate Women (AREW) in New York. In 2013, she was recognized as one of the Top Women in Real Estate by Sokol Media, Inc. and was selected for inclusion on the New York Metro Super Lawyers list.

Loryn P. Riggiola, a Partner with Zetlin & De Chiara, is currently the Co-General Counsel of the Women Builders Council (WBC). She has represented clients in both public and private sector projects, contract disputes, bidding disputes, defect and delay claims, and commercial disputes. She has serviced clients in the United States and abroad on a variety of matters, including the construction and operation of energy projects. Loryn also represents corporations and financial institutions in litigation involving complex commercial issues, including employment disputes, restrictive covenant and unfair competition litigation. She has handled litigation involving trademark, trade dress and palming off claims under the Lanham Act, together with insurance coverage issues. Loryn has participated in numerous bench and jury trials in both New York and New Jersey and has a diverse and active caseload. She is a past President of the Design Build Institute of America, NY-Tri-State Metro Area.

Jaimee L. Nardiello, a Principal with Zetlin & De Chiara LLP, actively protects the rights of design professionals, contractors, owners, developers, and other parties within the construction industry in both litigation and non-litigation construction-related matters. She manages complex, multi-million dollar construction cases from inception to trial and prepares contracts for high-profile construction projects throughout the New York City area. Jaimee is an active Board Member of the Association of Real Estate Women (AREW) and is also a Co-Chair of the organization’s Special Events Committee. She was named to the “Top 20 Under 40” list by Engineering News-Record (ENR) New York in 2013. Jaimee was also selected for inclusion on the 2013 New York Metro Super Lawyers list and previously to the New York Super Lawyers Rising Star list in 2012 and 2011.
