Zetlin & De Chiara Partner Timothy Hegarty Presents at AIA Contracts Seminar

Zetlin & De Chiara LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Timothy Hegarty will be part of a legal panel presenting at a Lorman Seminar about AIA Contracts on November 1 in Parsippany, NJ.

The Lorman program titled “AIA Contracts” is designed to help attendees understand complex AIA contract provisions to avoid costly delays or time-consuming lawsuits. Tim's presentation will include a primer on integrated project delivery.

Timothy Hegarty is a Partner with Zetlin & De Chiara LLP resident in the New Jersey office. He focuses his practice in the area of construction law and litigation with an emphasis on construction claims, arbitration, mediation, surety law, and contracts. For more than 15 years, Tim has litigated construction cases in federal and state courts. He regularly counsels owners, developers, engineers, architects, construction managers and trade contractors regarding the drafting and negotiation of complex construction contracts and the prevention and resolution of large construction claims for projects located across the United States and internationally. Prior to attending law school, Tim worked as an engineer on complex construction projects and developed a keen ability to read and understand plans and specifications - a skill that gives him a unique strategic advantage in evaluating claims and preventing and resolving disputes. He serves as an adjunct professor at Columbia University in the Construction Administration graduate program, where he teaches "Legal Issues in Building Construction." He is General Counsel to the American Council of Engineering Companies of New Jersey.
