Overview
Kathy Fernandez is an associate in Zetlin & De Chiara’s New York office.
Ms. Fernandez represents various construction industry participants in construction disputes. She has experience with drafting, reviewing, revising, and negotiating various construction industry and procurement agreements.
Ms. Fernandez received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and both a J.D. and Master of Laws in International and Comparative Law from Duke University School of Law where she was the Editor in Chief of the Duke Journal of Compariative and International Law, the Co-President of the First Generation Professionals Student Network, and Secretary of the Latin American Law Students Association.
Prior to joining Zetlin & De Chiara, Ms. Fernandez was an associate at a full-service law firm working in their commercial litigation division representing owners, subcontractors, and businesses in commercial disputes primarily in the construction industry. Her background includes work at a national law firm, where she focused on infrastructure law matters, including project development, progressive design build, and public-private partnership agreements across the country.
