Chengdong (C.D.) Xing Named Co-Chair of New York City Bar’s Asian Affairs Committee

Zetlin and De Chiara LLP attorney Chengdong (C.D.) Xing has been elevated to the position of Co-Chair of the Asian Affairs Committee of the City Bar for a term ending July 2021.  He most recently served as Secretary.

The Committee covers legal and policy related developments all over Asia, including East, Southeast, South, and Central Asia. It also leads the City Bar’s efforts to maintain professional and cultural ties to China.

Prior to joining Zetlin & De Chiara, Mr. Xing worked as an in-house counsel for a leading Fortune Global 500 construction firm in Shanghai, where he was involved with domestic and international landmark projects throughout their whole life cycles. Fluent in both Mandarin and English, he is one of the handful of China-U.S. dual-qualified lawyers practicing construction law.

He is a member of the Seventh Working Group of “The Permanent Forum of China Construction Law” (PFCCL), a professional communication platform composed of its members and observers with the object of promoting the development of China construction law.  As co-author, he published “Feasibility Study on Utilizing the Internet and Information Technology to Improve the Efficiency and Transparency of Litigation and Arbitration Proceedings” on PFCCL

Mr. Xing is a graduate of New York University School of Law, LLM and East China University of Political Science and Law, LLB.
