Overview
Rebecca Ahdoot is a litigator in the New York office. She has extensive experience in a wide range of construction-related litigation representing the interests of design professionals, owners, and contractors. Ms. Ahdoot has also performed advisory services related to commercial and construction matters.
Prior to joining Zetlin & De Chiara, Ms. Ahdoot practiced general casualty defense work, including defending condo defect, general property damage, professional liability, workplace injury (Labor Law), products liability, and premises liability claims at a mid-sized law firm.
Ms. Ahdoot, a staunch advocate of diversity in the legal field, was a board member of the Iranian American Bar Association, and previously served as Vice President. On behalf of Iranian American Bar Association, Rebecca is a member of New York’s Judicial Screening Committee. The Committee evaluates the qualifications of candidates for appointment or designation to judicial office throughout New York State, and recommends to the Governor those candidates who are highly qualified to hold judicial office. She published “How Much is too Much Pro Patria: Assessing the Limits of a Chaplain’s Role as Advisor to the Command,” 63 Naval L. Rev. 1 (2014). Ms. Ahdoot has been selected as a New York Super Lawyers Rising Star for a number of years.
