New York City Promotes The Green Codes Task Force
In February 2010, the Urban Green Council released the much anticipated NYC Green Codes Task Force report, which was requested by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn in July 2008. The 111 recommendations included in the report impact new construction and renovations and could affect laws and regulations in zoning, health, consumer affairs and environmental protection, which will result in greener, healthier buildings.
