Overview

John McCool is an associate in Zetlin & De Chiara’s New York office.

Mr. McCool represents various construction industry participants in construction disputes. He has experience representing owners, developers, and general contractors throughout the development, construction, operation, and maintenance phases of projects. He has represented multiple clients in all stages of litigation in both trial and arbitration proceedings, including taking depositions, motions practice, settlement negotiations, and successfully litigated at both trial and arbitration proceedings.

Mr. McCool received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama, and a J.D. from Wake Forest School of Law.

Prior to joining Zetlin & De Chiara, Mr. McCool was a construction law associate at a large North Carolina law firm offering legal services in dozens of industries and practice areas where he gained experience in drafting and negotiating design build agreements, construction management multi prime agreements, supply agreements, vendor agreements, professional consulting agreements, LNTPs, operations & management agreements, and subcontract agreements. His background includes working as an associate at a general practice boutique firm, and as in house counsel at a construction firm with primary focus on the energy industry where he drafted and negotiated EPC contracts.
